Asus will launch 5MP Omnia competitor (See all news)

A mysterious Asus smartphone showed up recently on the web. Speculations have been running rampant about the possible details of the phone. The rumor mentioned that the so-called Asus Glaxy7 features a massive 3.5 inch touchscreen, a 5 megapixels autofocus camera and a body made of stainless steel.
According to these rumors the device features Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE/ as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA plus WiFi, Bluetooth and aGPS.
The flat 3.5 inch touchscreen supports a WVGA resolution and features Asus Glide 1.5 user interface. The Glaxy7 is backed up by 4 GB inbuilt flash memory that can also be expanded thanks to the microSD card slot.

If all these speculations are true, the Glaxy7 will definitely be a strong competitor for the Samsung Omnia. The phone’s expected launch might be mid October, this year.
