A few days ago we informed you that Cricket introduced Motorola Evoke and now they announced new addition to their lineup, the Samsung r460 MyShot II. The handset is the first Cricket phone to offer MyHomeScreen, a cool feature that allows people to personalize their homescreen with widgets to access their favorite information from the internet such as weather, news and social networking.
“The MyShot II provides Cricket customers with high-end features at a value price,” said Jeff Toig, vice president of product marketing for Cricket. “This device provides an all-in-one solution with customized quick access to Internet content, a camera and music player. It is ideal for a customer who wants all of the features and functionality of a more expensive phone, without the high price tag.”
The handset is pretty much following the footsteps of its predecessor as it features a flip form factor and comes equipped with a 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, mobile web, music player and SMS/MMS. The microSD card support allows up 8GB additional memory and the phone comes with a 2.5 mm audio jack.
The Samsung MyShot II supports tri-band CMDA frequencies, including Cricket's AWS 1700MHz network and costs $159.99 but if you buy it online you’ll get $20.00 discount. More details about the MyShot II can be found on Cricket’s website.
