Honami leaks with 20-megapixels camera on board
The Sony Xperia Honami, Sony's upcoming cameraphone flagship, has already popped up in several leaked images on the web, but now the highly-awaited device has leaked with new specification details. The Honami is reported to come with a 5-inch display of 1080p resolution and will get its power from a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor backed up by 2 GB of RAM.
The flagship device will also be coming with a very impressive 20-megapixels Exmor RS main camera that will feature Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor. However, its sensor will measure 1/2.3", and not the previously rumored 1/1.6". The promising camera will be paired with a 2 megapixel front facing one. The smartphone will also have 16 GB of expandable storage and a juicy 3,000mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia Honami is rumored to be IP57 certified, meaning it is completely dust-protected and will still be able to function under a meter of water for 30 minutes. It reportedly measures 144 x 73.9 x 8.3mm and will come with a full set of connectivity options along with latest version of the Android 4.2.
Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone is expected to compete against other camera-phones such as Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom or the more powerful Nokia Lumia 1020. The Honami smartphone is expected to be unveiled at Sony’s press event on September 4 at the IFA expo in Berlin.
