LG unveils L7, L5, L3 smartphones
LG has now officially announced three previously teased Android smartphones, the L7, L5 and L3, all three devices being expected at the MWC next week.
The Optimus L-Style series smartphones will all feature square, metallic design with a leather-like panel on their back, curved edges and a rectangular button at the bottom. The device will also offer a special kind of display which is closer to the surface, and appears to be floating on it, and LG calls it "floating mass display".
The L7 is a high-end smartphone which features a 4.3-inch display and runs on Android ICS out of the box. The L5 is a mid-range device which also comes with ICS and this time a 4-inch display incorporating “enhanced readability”. Both handsets are expected to land in Europe during the first half of the year.
The LG L3 is more compact, packs a 3.2-inch display and, unfortunately, will only be running Android Gingerbread (2.3) at launch. It should be available in Europe starting from March.
We’ll certainly find out more about the LG L7, L5 and L3 at the MWC next week, so let’s just wait and see what happens.
