Meizu MX 4-core gets globally available

Although it is a dual-core device, the original Meizu MX has become one of the most popular smartphones in China, and soon after it was launched there, the phone was quietly made available around the world from various retailers as well. Now, given the huge success of the MX, Meizu has announced a more powerful quad-core version, the MX 4-core.

The quad-core model is currently selling globally as well, but, unfortunately it costs a bit over $650 for the 32GB version, which appears to be kind of expensive compared to the Chinese price of CNY2999 ($470). You should know that there is no 16GB version, but in case you are interested in purchasing the 64GB model, it will set you back another $100, which means you would have to pay no less than $650 to get it.

As we said, the pricing seems a bit steep, not necessarily because the other quad core smartphones cost less, but because Meizu should probably offer more attractive prices than the famous established smartphone players.

However, we do expect the international price to drop a bit in a few weeks which MobileWitch believes would be in the benefit of both Meizu and users.
