Motorola working on premium smartphone for Q4
According to Spanish publication ADSL Zone, Google’s Motorola is currently working on a premium smartphone to be released in Q4 at an even more affordable price than the Nexus 4. As you remember, last year Google introduced the Nexus 4 offering the same hardware at about half the price of other smartphones.
The report claims that Motorola could lower the price even further for its upcoming flagship to around $250 off contract. The Motorola Moto X is expected to be Motorola’s key device in North America where it competes against the all-mighty Apple iPhone, while in Europe the company is said to be launching a Nexus-like device under a different name.
If Motorola does intend to use cutting edge hardware for its flagship, it will definitely have an unprecedented amount of power for its price as it is expected to feature a quad-core processor backed up by 2GB of RAM, at least a 4.5-inch HD display, and an 8-megapixels camera able to record video in 1080p. Having the Nexus 4 as an example, there should be a huge demand for such a powerful and affordable smartphone, and Google has probably learned its lessons to have enough supply for the busy Holiday season demand.
We believe that a $250 Motorola Nexus packing all the aforementioned specs will definitely be a success. What about you?
