New Sony Ericsson phones expected (See all news)

There are rumours that Sony Ericsson will be announcing some new cell phones tomorrow, on November 6th. The highlight of the announcement will mostly be the formal launch of the Rika as the Walkman W705. Music fans will be delighted with the latest portable speaker MBS-900, which also will be revealed to the public.

The pictures are not official, but real device looks almost like this prototype. What makes immediate impression here, is that the W705 design is strikingly similar to the already announced Sony Ericsson G705.

Rumoured specs for the W705:

- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS/HSPA 900/2100
- 2.4 inch display (320×240)
- 3.2MP camera with LED flash
- Wi-Fi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0
- 120MB phone memory and 4GB M2 card included
- TrackID and Shake control
- YouTube application
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- Colours: Passionate Red and Luxury Silver

An Orange-branded version of the W705 is also expected to be confirmed. The new handset should hit the market in February 2009.
