Nokia 603 review: Capable Symbian Belle smartphone
The Nokia 603 is a low mid-range Symbian Belle smartphone with a very good balance price and quality. Although average in terms of specs, featuring a 3.5-inch display, 1GHz processor and 5-megapixels camera with 720p video recording with no LED flash, the Nokia 603 shares the bright display of the Nokia 701, and comes with swappable back covers in various colors.
What is in the box:
- Nokia 603 phone
- Swappable back cover
- Stereo headsets
- Wall charger
- microUSB cable
- User Guides
In terms of design (waistline at least), the Nokia 603 will not impress anyone, as it is kind of chubby at 0.5” (12.7mm), although the tapered edges make it pretty easy to hold and operate with one hand.
The 3.5-inch IPS-LCD display is not that great either, as it boasts 360x640 pixels of resolution, and 210ppi pixel density, which won’t really help when trying to read small text. The phone features wide viewing angles, excellent brightness (thanks to the 1000 nits output), and ClearBlack technology to minimize reflections.
The left side was left bare while the volume rocker together with the camera shutter were placed on the phone’s right side. The 5-megapixels camera and speaker grill are on the phone back. The handset comes in black and white, plus one swappable back cover included in the box for free.
Under the back cover we have a 1.300 mAh Li-ion battery, micro SIM compartment and microSD card slot.
