Nokia 7500 Prism review: Outstanding design (See all reviews)

Once again Nokia has proved its long established reputation for daring design of their mobile phones. We can not deny the fact that Nokia 7500 Prism is a unique and powerful phone with striking design and a wide range of features.
The name of the phone comes from its triangular keys and geometric patterns.

The typical retail package includes: a 512 MB microSD memory card, stereo earphones, DC charger, an artificial leather wrist strap, a pouch and two exchangeable color accents. The color accents are quite easy to replace and really make a big difference in refreshing the phone's look.

A manual and a booklet highlighting the Nokia 7500 most important features complete the box contents.
Please note that part of the content of the retail package is market dependant and will vary by country or vendor.

Unfortunately we did not find an adapter for the microSD card and the USB cable was also missing from the original package.

Nokia 7500 Prism comes dressed in basic black with a body made of plastic and only a few metal details.
Except for the back and its sides, where matt plastic was used, most of the handset's body is shiny, which unfortunately makes fingerprints visible.

The device stands at 109 x 44 x 14 mm with a volume of 70 cc and weight of only 83 g.
The pattern on the keys extends to the phone's rear, where triangles in two shades come together in an attractive design.

The flash from the phone’s rear is also triangular, while the camera lens is shaped like a diamond.
There is no external antenna and with the exception of the plastic rear cover, the phone has a solid feel.

The bottom of the phone is quite crowded, housing the eyelet for the wrist strap, the charger plug, the 2.5mm audio jack and the USB slot.
We’ll have to make a note here: Nokia decided not to include the USB cable in the retail package.

As for the battery, Nokia 7500 Prism has BL-4B type, which under heavy-duty usage could barely last a day. We assume that if you’ll use the phone mostly for phone calls, you will have to charge the battery every 34 or 48 hours.

There's also a microSD slot for cards up to 2 GB, but unfortunately located behind the battery so you must turn off the phone in order to swap out the card.
