Nokia Lumia 1020 available to pre-order unlocked in the USA for $735
Not surprisingly, the long awaited 41MP PureView Windows Phone-powered smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 1020, caused quite a splash when it was officially unveiled last week in New York.
As you probably know, Nokia Lumia 1020 will hit the US shores on July 26 exclusively via AT&T and will cost you $300 with a two-year contract, with the carrier's pre-order campaign starting tomorrow. The Lumia 1020 is expected to hit the shelves worldwide this fall, some time before the end of September.
But you should also know that the retailer Negri Electronics is taking pre-orders for the unlocked version of the flagship smartphone, and you can book your unit for $735.50, with no specific shipping date for now. You will probably receive it, however, not long after the official premiere on AT&T.
The Lumia 1020 also went on pre-orders yesterday in Germany, although users there will have to wait a bit longer to get their phones, as the European version of the device is supposed to launch by the end of Q3.
Unfortunately for them, Europeans will need to pay more to purchase the Lumia 1020, as pre-orders are going for the pretty steep €800, even if the final price will most likely be a bit lower.
