Samsung shipped 2 million Galaxy Note units
Although it is often regarded as a weird-looking device due to its huge 5.3-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy Note’s sales have just hit 2 million units. This proves that the so called “hybrid” has successfully found its market share and has become quite popular.
The million milestone was passed in just two months after its launch and now, two months later, the Galaxy Note has managed to hit the 2 million mark. Even if this is just the number of devices which have been shipped so far and not the actual sales, it is, however, a notable achievement for a device which was not given too many chances at the beginning.
On the other hand, it doesn’t seem too much if we consider that Samsung shipped over 10 million Galaxy S IIs in the first five months and the iPhone 4S sold 4 million units in just one weekend.
Another important accomplishment is that the Note has managed to carve in a niche that other devices, such as the LG Optimus Vu or the Panasonic Eluga, are now trying to benefit from.
However, Samsung doesn’t want to stop here, as the company expects the Note to ship in more than 10 million units by the end of 2012.
