Sony Ericsson announced a new addition to its T-series phones, the Sony Ericsson T715, a compact and stylish slider that comes equipped with 3G support and 3 MP camera. The phone will come in two versions, T715, which supports 2100MHz HSPA, and T715a, the American version that supports 850/1900/2100MHz HSPA and should be available in the third quarter.
“The T715 is a sophisticated slider mobile phone that fits a busy lifestyle and is perfect for those who are looking for a phone with practical and up-to-date features” said Quentin Cordier, Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson. Building on our current 3G portfolio, the T715 allows us to bring 3G mobile phones to even more markets giving them high speed internet access wherever they are.”
The strong point of the Sony Ericsson T715 seems to be its ability to organize your daily routine through smart desktop and birthday reminders. It also comes with Google Maps with local search and directions and AccuWeather.com for three day weather forecasts.
At the size of a credit card and with a high-class finish, the T715 also offers a 3.15-megapixels camera with Cell-ID geo-tagging and LED flash, 2.2-inch display with QVGA resolution, music functionality with TrackID, PlayNow, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, as well as FM radio with RDS and support for microSD cards.
Also announced today is the Bluetooth Headset VH310 that weighs only 10 grams (0.35 oz) and comes with a battery that lasts more than 20 days on one charge. However, the VH310 is just an optional accessory to the T715 and the retail package will not include the headset.
