Sprint will not carry the BlackBerry Z10

When BlackBerry announced its latest flagship smartphone powered by the new BlackBerry 10 OS, the Z10, three of the four major U.S. carriers, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, announced their plans to carry the device in the near future. These carriers even added notification pages on their websites for subscribers who might be interested in the device, but Sprint didn't mention anything at that time about launching the BlackBerry Z10 on its network.

And it appears that the announcement isn't going to come at all, since Sprint has just confirmed that it won't be carrying the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone.

However, the carrier will offer the BlackBerry Q10, a more traditional BlackBerry device that sports the typical physical QWERTY keyboard positioned underneath the display. According to a company representative, Sprint believes this is the BlackBerry 10 smartphone its customers are after.

Sprint did not disclose any specific launch date for the device, but it is most likely that you won't be able to get it earlier than May.

The BlackBerry Z10, however, will probably become available in the U.S. within a couple of weeks, even if it has already been out for over a month now. The demand for it has been higher than anticipated and things are not expected to be different in the US.
