Verizon Wireless announced a new product aimed at BlackBerry users, the exclusive slotRadio+ microSD card. Designed by SanDisk, the slotRadio+ microSD includes 1,000 songs from top-charting Billboard artists, as well as an additional 4GB of flash memory, where users can store their own music, videos and photos.

Verizon offers slotRadio microSD card image 1BlackBerry users will just have to insert the slotRadio+ card, then go to the smartphone’s browser to download and install the slotRadio+ application. The carrier will be offering two versions of the slotRadio+ card: Billboard Hits, featuring music hand-picked from today’s top artists in modern rock, dance and hip hop, Latin, and country; and Billboard Decades, with songs from the ’80s, the ’90s, classic rock and oldies.

“While listening to the hand-selected playlists on the slotRadio+ card, Verizon Wireless customers can easily connect via the touch of a button to V CAST Music to purchase many of the titles featured on the slotRadio+ card as full tracks, ringtones and ringback tones.

Users can also find millions of other titles from V CAST Music, available over-the-air, to store them directly on the microSD card and enjoy them on their smartphone,” Verizon notes in the official release.

Available as of today, Jan. 29 for $50 each, the slotRadio+ card will be compatible with a wide range of BlackBerry smartphones, including the BlackBerry Curve 8530, BlackBerry Pearl 8130, BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, BlackBerry Storm 9530, BlackBerry Storm2 9550, BlackBerry Tour 9630 and BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone.
